Project Synergy

Recently we participated on Wearables Appathon organized by Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal. Our project was related to energy conservation where we implemented some hardware which allowed us to control various appliances remotely using the internet.
We used Arduino Uno Rev3, Arduino Uno, Arduino Ethernet Shield, HC-06 Bluetooth Module, 16X2 LCD keypad display shield, a windows phone app.
We used LCD Display shield to control the appliances.
The data are sent to the Windows phone app from LCD Keypad Display shield via bluetooth module. Thus received data are then transmitted to a web server using the phone's internet. The receiver at home is connected to the internet which extracts the data from the database and toggles the appliances accordingly.
